About the artist:
Originally from New Zealand, JK Russ graduated from Auckland’s MIT Faculty of Creative Arts in 2001. Working predominantly with the medium of collage, she creates fantasy environments where hybrid humans merge with plants, birds, and other creatures. The impact of humans on the environment is evident in her recent work.
Represented by PAULNACHE, her work has also been shown at Sydney Contemporary Art Fair 2020, Australia, the Dowse Art Museum in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, the Tauranga Art Gallery, New Zealand, the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, NV, Delano Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Circa Las Vegas and the Torrance Art Museum in California.
